The culturally rich and diverse musical influences of Maha Ras come from deep roots in gospel, reggae, folk, blues, jazz, rock & soul. Along with these styles, Maha Ras creates their unique sound by blending in many different forms of world music. MAHA RAS music is a soulful & melodic expression of life.
Instrumentation includes: vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, bass, drums, organ, melodicas, nyahbinghi, African, Indian, and Native American drums, tambouras, harmoniums, various percussion, singing bowls, bells, flutes and other world instruments.
No drum machines, samples or loops are used.
All real instrumentation.
MAHA RAS appears live with full band or smaller ensemble at performing arts & music venues, universities, colleges, festivals, benefit concerts, community centers, dance & yoga centers, cultural centers, teen/youth centers, art centers, secondary schools, churches, temples, private parties and gatherings, clubs, cafes, and art galleries.
MAHA RAS is available for live performances (electric & acoustic), classes, workshops, and interviews.
